Description: Learn the heraldry for 3 combat units that fight at Pennsic. Watch videos of Pennsic on YouTube and try to pick out the fighters on the field by their heraldry.  Tell us about what you learned

Know Your Anthems

Description: A kingdom is stronger when its voices are raised together! I’d like to hear your voices singing! My challenge is for you to learn the chorus of a song about the East Kingdom or your local group and take a video of you singing it. 

(It does not have to be memorized and you may put words on paper or in a book to help you. You can also have help from a family member or someone in your bubble.)

Peter the Red’s Artful Archery Challenge

Description: Print the shield blank (https://wiki.eastkingdom.org/images/f/f8/Blank_Shield.pdf ) on a piece of paper and draw artwork on the shield. It can be your/your family’s heraldry, your group’s heraldry or anything you want. Then attach the shield to cardboard and affix it to an archery target. Bring an adult with you to the archery range. Shoot up to 36 arrows (6 ends of 6 arrows) at the target. Please take a picture of the shield before and after it gets shot and one of you with arrows in the target. Tell us how many holes are in the target. Enjoy!

Say It With A Scroll

Description: Using your favorite artistic medium, make a scroll for someone who makes a positive difference in your life.  Give that person your finished scroll.

Materials: Paper and whatever you like to make art such as, but not limited to: paint, markers, crayons, colored pencils, computer graphics

Small Scenes

Description: Create a diorama of a scene from the SCA time period. It may be any type of scene (room, battle, shop, etc) from the society’s accepted timeline.

Materials: Basic art supplies, If you can, try to use materials that can be documented as being used in period.
